FREE Vegetarian Food

The Singapore Buddhist Lodge, at Kim Yan Road, provides one of the best vegetarian food on the island. And it is free for all, regardless of religion. Every day, buffet style lunch and dinner are served. Today, being a full moon day, additional dishes are provided. I counted at least 10 different types of vegetarian dishes. There were samosas, mushrooms, curry veg, chap chye, lady fingers, fried noodles, seaweed, tofu, salted veg, porridge and desserts. Overall the quality of cooking is quite good. There are two serving points. One on the ground floor and the other on the 1st level. Lunch starts at 11.30am. You have to wash the plates yourself after eating or you can choose to use disposable plates.
