Chengdu, China - Day 1
We stayed at the Garden City Hotel which is owned by a Singapore Company. The location is good, room is clean and everything works. The room rate is also very reasonable, about RMB350 per night.
Our dinner on the first day in Chengdu was at the Chengdu Gingko Restaurant (Yin Xin). We had a wonderful meal in a beautiful and elegant setting with outstanding service. The charming waitress helped us select our dishes. All her suggestions were superb. Looking back, this was the best meal we had in Chengdu. We had 7 dishes plus dessert and the total bill was less than RMB500 (about S$100). Chengdu Gingko Restaurant (Sichuan food) is at No. 7, Fuqin Donglu, overlooking the Fu River.
