Chengdu, China - Day 7

Today is our last day of stay in Chengdu. Early this morning, I took a cab to Wenshu Monastery, founded 13 centuries ago. This is an active temple. I could hear monks chanting alone in their tiny cubicles. There is an outdoor teahouse in a garden court and a vegetarian restaurant. There are many stalls selling incense and prayer beads on the street leading to the main entrance of the temple.
On the way to the airport, our driver took us to a very good restaurant just 10 mins away from the airport. The claypot tanghoon was really excellent. So was the mapo tofu and long beans. The tomato soup was served in a large pot. The mui choy kong bak was outstanding. The onion pancake was quite nice. Best of all, the total bill was only RMB238 or S$48 for 5 persons.
