Bak Kut Teh in Sultan Gate, off Beach Road

There are two Klang style Bak Kut Teh restaurants along Sultan Gate, off Beach Road. Leong Kee and Soon Yee. I have eaten at Leong Kee. They have a branch in Lor 13 Geylang. Soon Yee is about the same standard but offers more varieties such as dry BKT, tau kee, chicken feet, tao pok etc. The dry BKT is quite interesting. It is served in a claypot with the pork ribs soaked in dark sauce and dried chilli. The soup BKT is full of ingredients, mainly pig's organs. If you prefer just the pork ribs, order the original BKT.
