Steamed Chicken with Red Dates in Jalan Besar
This is the first time I had chicken steamed with red dates. A simple but very refreshing dish. I chanced upon this dish in Jalan Berseh Food Centre. Soon Kit is manned by an elderly couple. They specialise in claypot and steam dishes. Most customers order the claypot fish head or steamed bean paste fish head. The claypot pork ribs with bittergourd is worth trying. The gravy is very tasty. Prices here are very cheap, between $5 to $8 for cha char dishes and about $12 for a fish head. Be prepared to wait about 30 mins during dinner time.
