Chestnut Duck in Bukit Pasoh

This restaurant started off as a traditional Cantonese restaurant when it was at Cantonment Road. Today it is better known for serving Shanghai Hairy Crab all year round. Nevertheless, the restaurant still retains some of the good old traditonal Cantonese dishes such as the chestnut duck and crispy noodles. The duck is stuff with checknuts, ginko nuts, minced meat and some herbs and cook till the meat is tender. It is then topped with sauce. At $40, the chestnut duck is a very delightful dish. Capital Restaurant is now located at 44 Bukit Pasoh Road, near Chinatown. Other interesting dishes at this restaurant are the chicken in tin-foil, deep fried wanton and fried crispy noodles.
