Popiah in Bukit Merah
It was quite fun making your own popiah (spring roll) in a restaurant. Good Chance restaurant started this concept a few years ago. Since then, a few Good Chance restaurants have cropped up. The most recent one is in Bukit Merah. The ingredients for making the popiah are all very fresh. The popiah skins are soft and firm. Apart from popiah, the restaurant also serves some decent cha char dishes. The fried Hokkien mee is quite good. The stewed pork knuckles with mantou is not too bad. The sambal kangkong is above average. Good Chance Restaurant is located at Blk 149, Jalan Bukit Merah Bahru, just after the Sikh temple and opp the entrance to SGH.
