Ramu's Fish Head Curry in Yio Chu Kang Road

We waited 30mins for our fish head curry. Each order for Ramu's signature fish head curry is freshly cooked. Yes, the wait was worth it. The fish head was nice and fresh, not overcooked. The curry was not too spicy, sufficient to give you the "kick". We were served an equal portion of white and briyani rice on a banana leaf. The waitress told us that fish head curry is best eaten with white rice. But the briyani rice is so good, we had to have it. Brendan, from down under, found it fascinating to eat from a banana leaf with fork and spoon. The fish cutlet and mutton masala went well with the briyani rice. The lassi drinks went well with the curry. It help to wash away the hot and spicy lingering taste. Ramu's Kitchen is at 198 Yio Chu Kang Road.

Comments:
the eating off a banana leaf was pretty cool... dunno about the using your hands bit though, a tad messy for my liking.
